Vaccinar Indústria e Comércio was founded by the CEO Nelson Lopes on October 23, 1980.
At that time, Nelson was a veterinary medicine salesman and developed the first automatic vaccinator available in Brazil, starting a history marked by innovation and pioneering.
Vaccinar’s businesses were diversifying and animal nutrition turned into one of their specialties, becoming the main segment of the company.
Vaccinar inaugurated its first plant of animal nutrition products in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
In 2005, Vaccinar began its expansion plan in Mercosur by inaugurating the Southern Production Unit in Pinhais, Paraná, Brazil, as well as the Paraguay branch located in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. Also, the Experimental Farms (Santa Clara and São Francisco) located in Martinho Campos, Minas Gerais, Brazil started their activities.

In 2011, the company inaugurated a Production Unit in Bom Despacho, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
2013 was a year of significant growth for Vaccinar. The company inaugurated a feed mill in Martinho Campos, Minas Gerais, Brazil, which has been awarded a IN 04 certification, besides Cerradão Farm, a unit located in the same city. Also, the company completed the acquisition of a fat facility (DANE) which started its operation.

In order to focus on customer needs and animal health and performance, in 2018 the Production Units located in Martinho Campos and Nova Ponte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, were extended. Also, the company completed the acquisition of the Production Unit in Toledo, Paraná, Brazil, and the land for a new plant in the Midwest region. The Distribution Center in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, was inaugurated.
These investments have allowed us to offer the highest technology in feed production and safety.
Vaccinar started the production of complete feed at Teresina Unit, Piauí, Brazil, in collaboration with the Cooperative of Poultry Producers (COAVE).

Vaccinar has opened a factory in Araguaína, Tocantins, strategically located to serve the beef cattle market. The unit has a distribution center and a dedicated sales team, reinforcing agility and personalized customer service.
Vaccinar has expanded its presence in São Paulo with a distribution center (DC) in Itapevi, in partnership with logistics operator PTS. The initiative aims to improve agility and efficiency in service, reinforcing the company’s commitment to excellence and proximity to customers.
As part of Vaccinar’s strategic planning and changes, the transfer of the Belo Horizonte office to Curitiba was successfully completed in 2024. This change reflects the company’s commitment to aligning its operations with growth and efficiency objectives, strengthening its presence in strategic regions and optimizing its activities.
